Step by step how to sign up with a new account

When you navigate to the Culture Intelligence app, you will be directed to a view where you can log in with your credentials. If you have not visited us before and you want to create an account, follow the steps below.

This tutorial will show you how to:

  • Provide a verified email address

  • Provide your name and a strong password

  • Configure two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA require the use of Microsoft Authenticator or an equivalent MFA app. If you are not already familiar with 2FA/MFA apps, please follow these instructions to prepare your device.

If you already have an account registered with us before February 14th 2023, we require that you create your account again in order to set a more secure password and activate 2FA. Please use the same email that you used on the original account when following this tutorial in order to migrate your existing account.

Sign up now

To start the process of creating an account, click the "Sign up now" link.

Provide your details

The first step of signing up is to provide your email address. This will be used as your unique Culture Intelligence user name. To make sure that you are the owner of the email address we require an email verification check. Enter your email address and click "Send verification code".

By now you should have received an email like this:

If you do not receive the verification email, please check your spam folder. The email is sent from the following email address msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com on behalf of Culture Intelligence.

In the User Details view, enter the verification code that you received and click "Verify code".

The next step is to choose a password and enter it in both the "New Password" and "Confirm New Password" field.

The password complexity requirements will be shown and help you to set a strong password.

To continue, provide your first and last name and click "Create".

Configure two-factor authentication

To secure your account, we require the activation of a two-factor authentication mechanism. You need to have the Microsoft Authenticator app (or an equivalent MFA app) installed on a separate device, such as your mobile phone.

Clicking on either the Google Play or the Apple App Store links will take you directly to the corresponding stores so that you can install the app.

If you manually search for "Authenticator" in either app store, make sure that you locate Microsoft Authenticator. This is a free and trusted app published by Microsoft. We are aware that there are other apps called "Authenticator" or similar. These do not work with our platform and we will not support their use!

In Microsoft Authenticator, start with adding a new Personal Account and choose to scan the QR code shown on your screen. Next, click "Continue".

NB: it is important that you choose Personal Account, as "Work or School" account is currently not supported.

You will now be asked to enter and verify your code. Enter the current code from Microsoft Authenticator and click "Verify".

When the code is verified, you will be logged in. Welcome, and good luck on your Culture Journey!
